Tramadol is a centrally acting analgesic with a multimode of action. Used as Analgesic in postoperative Pain. Its analgesic potency is claimed to be about one tenth that of morphine.

Mechanism Of Action

Tramadol is a centrally acting analgesic with a multimode of action. It acts on serotonergic and noradrenergic receptor. Its analgesic potency is claimed to be about one tenth that of morphine.

Dosage

1mg/kg/dose 6 hourly

Max - 2mg/kg/dose &  100mg/dose

Used As - Used as Analgesic in postoperative Pain. 

Contraindicated - Not safe in Pregnancy, Asthma
