Pantoprazole is Antihistaminic and used as Antacid but not an Antacid.

Inj- vial contains 40mg

Mechanism Of Action

Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor. Inhibit gastric parietal cells results in a reduction in both gastric acid volume and concentration.

Dosage

Below 5 years  - 1.2mg/kg/day OD 

5 year - Adult - wt 15 - 40 kg - 20mg OD

                And > wt 40 Kg - 40mg OD

Used As - Used as Antacid in lowering level of gastric Acid

Contraindicated - May be not safe in Pregnancy
